American Cyclist Makes Move to Dutch Team

Movistar Rider Joins Vingegaard and Van Aert

American cyclist Matteo Jorgenson has signed a three-year contract with Team Jumbo-Visma, the Dutch team announced today. The 24-year-old rider joins a squad that already contains Tour de France champion Jonas Vingegaard and Wout van Aert, two of the biggest stars in the sport.

Jorgenson had a breakout season in 2023, winning a stage at the Tour de France and finishing second overall at the Vuelta a EspaƱa. He is considered one of the most promising young riders in the world, and his signing is a major coup for Jumbo-Visma.

"I am very excited to join Jumbo-Visma," Jorgenson said. "It is one of the best teams in the world, and I believe that I can develop into a top rider here. I am looking forward to working with Jonas and Wout, and I am confident that we can achieve great things together."
