England Keep 100 Record Intact after Beating Denmark

England maintained their 100 record in Group D of the 2023 FIFA Women's World Cup with a hard-fought 1-0 victory over Denmark on Sunday. Lauren James scored the only goal of the game with a brilliant curling strike from the edge of the area in the first half.
The win sees England move to the top of the group with six points from two games, while Denmark remain in second place with three points.
England started the game brightly and took the lead in the 20th minute when James picked up the ball on the left-hand side of the area and curled a superb shot into the top corner.
Denmark had their chances to equalize, but they were unable to find a way past England's resolute defense. In the end, England held on to secure a vital victory.
The match was also notable for an injury to England midfielder Keira Walsh, who was forced off in the first half with a knee problem.
